Dundalk look to close gap

Dundalk will be looking to close the gap on fourth place when they take on St Patrick’s Athletic at Oriel Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Co Louth side could move to within six points of fourth-placed Derry with victory over the Saints.

Lilywhites boss Sean Connor must plan without Alex Williams and Michael Daly as both are serving a suspension.

St Patrick’s Athletic will be looking to put their disappointing midweek defeat to Sligo Rovers behind them as they travel north.

New Saints boss Pete Mahon said: “Time is against us and playing on an artificial pitch is going to be a challenge in itself.

“When you don’t win your home games it’s going to give you problems. We’ll have to rectify that.”
