Bohs not taking fully-fit Drogs for granted
Bohemians return to league action tonight against Premier Division strugglers Drogheda United at Dalymount Park, kick-off 7.45pm.
After last week’s defeat against Shamrock Rovers, Bohs need a win to keep the pressure on the current league leaders.
And Gypsies boss Pat Fenlon must plan without midfielder Gary Deegan who is serving a suspension.
Fenlon thought Bohs "played OK in patches" in Tallaght last weekend. "We didn’t deserve to lose the game," he said. "You’re always disappointed when you lose games, especially when you lose to Rovers. We’re over it now though.”
On the Drogheda match, Fenlon observed: “People may look at it and say they are down the bottom of the table, but they’ve caused us just as much problems this year as anyone else both home and away, so we’re not expecting anything different (tonight).”
Drogheda boss Alan Mathews takes a fully fit squad to Dalymount with Robbie Farrell being the only doubt.
Mathews said: “I don’t pay attention to how anyone else is doing, we have to focus on our own performance, the 1-0 loss to Bohemians was a long time ago and that won’t be playing on our minds at all.
“The fact that Bohs lost last week or that we only drew won’t have any bearing on this game.
“We will have to work hard, Bohemians are still the champions and it will be a big game for us.”
