Treacy called up to U-21 squad

Sheffield United player Keith Treacy has been added to the Republic of Ireland U-21 squad to face Georgia and Switzerland.

Treacy, who has two previous Under-21 caps, was set to be included in the original squad when he suffered an injury while playing for Sheffield United that it was feared would keep him out for two months.

However it has been confirmed that the injury is not as serious as first thought.

The Republic of Ireland U-21s face Georgia in the Tallaght Stadium on Friday, and Switzerlandin the RSC on Tuesday, October 13.
