Liverpool, Arsenal in European action tonight

Liverpool and Arsenal are due to get their Champions League campaigns underway tonight.

Liverpool take on Debrecen in Group E of the competition, while Arsenal are up against Standard Liege in Group H.

Last night, Manchester United and Chelsea both recorded victories in their opening group games.

Paul Scholes scored the only goal as United beat Besiktas 1-0 in Turkey, while Nicolas Anelka was on target for Chelsea as they beat Porto by the same scoreline in London.

Cristiano Ronaldo also scored his first two Champions League goals in a Real Madrid shirt as the Spaniards beat FC Zurich 5-2.
