The Black and Whites, who finished a disappointing 12th in engage Super League XIV, have released Dominic Maloney, Tommy Lee, Graeme Horne, Motu Tony, Todd Byrne, Josh Cordoba and Jamie Thackray as well as Thorman. All were out of contract.

In addition, King, 30, who has spent the last 13 years at his home-town club, has been given permission to speak to other clubs, even though he has a year left on his current deal.

Maloney has already signed a two-year contract at Halifax, where he has been on loan, while Byrne was told earlier on in the season that he would not be retained and is set to return to Australia.

Hull have already announced the signing for 2010 of St Helens scrum-half Sean Long, Sydney Roosters forwards Mark O'Meley and Craig Fitzgibbon, and Salford centre or loose forward Jordan Turner.
