The woodwork and home keeper Danny O’Leary frustrated Bray at Flancare Park as Longford, second bottom of the First Division, forced an FAI Ford Cup quarter-final replay back at Carlisle Grounds on Tuesday night.

As expected, Premier side Bray held the upper hand and, but for O’Leary, would have been two up at the break.

O’Leary reacted well to turn a deflected Dane Massey cross onto a post after just two minutes.

Massey was involved again to set up Gary McCabe on 24 minutes with O’Leary once more doing well to turn the shot out for a corner.

Derek Foran headed a McCabe corner off the bar on 53 minutes with O’Leary saving from Derek Pender’s follow-up as Bray maintained the pressure into the second half.

Then, right on 90 minutes, John Mulroy was through one-on-one with O’Leary with the Town keeper standing up well to make another vital stop.
