Maguire, Bermingham doubts for Rovers

Sporting Fingal entertain Shamrock Rovers in tonight's FAI Ford Cup quarter-final clash at Morton Stadium, kick-off 7.30pm.

For Rovers, there are doubts about the availability of Darragh Maguire (calf) and Ian Bermingham (ankle).

Pat Sullivan is cup-tied and both Stephen Bradley and Paddy Kavanagh are suspended.

“Ian suffered a knock while playing for the Republic of Ireland under-21s, while Darragh is still struggling with a calf problem,” said Hoops boss Michael O’Neill.

“On the plus side, Padraig Amond is fit again and available, while Alan Mannus is back in contention after missing last week’s game as he was on international duty with Northern Ireland.”

O'Neill added: “We’re looking forward to the FAI Cup quarter final against Sporting Fingal and maybe a break from the league campaign is coming at just the right time for us.

“I think the last time I was at Santry, my brother was running there in the Irish schools’ championship. He won that day so hopefully that’s an omen for us.”

Fingal must plan without Daniel Corcoran (groin), while Lorcan Fitzgerald (knee) is a doubt for boss Liam Buckley
