Bohs and Silgo to do it all again

Bohemians 0 Sligo Rovers 0

Bohemians and Sligo Rovers will be sick of the sight of each other as they must meet again (for the sixth time this season) back at the Showgrounds after neither side could find a breakthrough in the first of the FAI Ford Cup quarter-finals at Dalymount Park.

Sligo had the only clear-cut chance of a poor first half on 36mins.

Defender Gavin Peers was left totally unmarked from Romuald Boco’s free-kick and, with keeper Brian Murphy flat-footed, his header came back off a post.

Bohs utterly dominated the second half with Mark Rossiter’s cross coming off the bar on 62mins.

Sligo then dug in to thwart waves of Bohs attacks, keeper Richard Brush made a terrific stop from substitute Jason Byrne.

Winger Killian Brennan and Glen Crowe also had chances as Sligo held out to bring the tie back to Yeats Country on Tuesday night.
