Omens good for Sligo ahead of cup clash
Sligo Rovers will be looking for history to repeat itself as they travel to Dalymount Park to take on Bohemians in the FAI Ford Cup quarter-finals tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).
Rovers boss Paul Cook will be confident of causing an upset after beating the Gypsies in the league recently.
Alan Keane is the only player missing due to suspension and Romuald Boco returns from international duty to bolster Cook’s squad.
Bohs boss Pat Fenlon does not have high-intensity player Gary Deegan for Friday's match.
Deegan begins his cup-match suspension period for the sending-off against Dundalk last month.
However, the rest of the squad, including long-time injury victim, captain Owen Heary, is available for selection.
Fenlon is convinced that despite losing their last two games, the supporters are right behind the players.
Fenlon said: "The supporters knew the players were trying their best. It's rare to be clapped off the pitch after losing at home. But everybody at the club's pulling the same direction."
