Derry City 3 Dundalk 0

Goals from Thomas Stewart, Tam McManus and Liam Kearney got Derry back to winning ways to keep them third in the Premier Division table as Dundalk finished with ten men.

Stewart fired Derry in front after just three minutes following Barry Molloy’s sublime through ball.

McManus doubled the lead just before the half hour from another Molloy assist.

Dundalk’s night was effectively over two minutes before the break when striker Alex Williams was sent off for dissent, having just been booked for a tackle.

Little winger Kearney, just back from a broken leg, added the third goal three minutes from time.
