Bohs defeat leaves title race wide open
Bohemians 1 Bray Wanderers 2
Bohemians' title retention hopes took a battering as they finished with nine men in slumping to defeat to bottom side Bray at Dalymount Park.
It was the champions second defeat inside a week and reduces their lead at the top of the table to just one point.
It all began to go wrong for Bohs when midfielder Gary Deegan was sent off for two quick yellow cards in succession on 26 minutes, the first for a tackle on John Flood, the second for dissent.
Four minutes later Flood put Bray ahead with a fine shot having been played through by Dave Mulcahy.
It got worse for Bohs on 69 minutes when goalkeeper Brian Murphy was sent off for pulling down Flood and Gary McCabe beat substitute goalkeeper Matt Gregg from the spot.
Bohs pulled a goal back on 89 minutes when Glen Crowe blasted home from Mark Rossiter cross.
