Huth has medical at Stoke

Middlesbrough defender Robert Huth is undergoing a medical with Stoke, it is understood.

The German international, who has been linked with Everton and Aston Villa, is expected to complete a £6m move to the Barclays Premier League club if he passes the test.

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate was keen to keep the former Chelsea centre-half at the Riverside following the team’s relegation last season.

However, the 25-year-old appears set to revive his Premier League career by completing a move to the Potteries club, who have also been linked to Boro striker Tuncay Sanli.
