Bohs impress Trap with five-goal win
Bohemians 5 Galway United 0
Bohemians put on a five-star show in front of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni to move eight points clear at the top of the Premier Division table tonight.
A Barry Ryan error, when the Galway keeper failed to hold Glenn Cronin’s cross, gifted Anto Murphy the lead after 19 minutes.
Ken Oman headed the champions further in front just before the interval from another Cronin delivery.
Bohs were cruising within two minutes of the restart when Glen Crowe fired home the third from Joseph Ndo’s pass.
Killian Brennan made it 4-0 from an 82 minutes penalty after Mark O’Toole fouled Murphy.
Defender Brian Shelley added the fifth, and his first of the season, a minute from time when waltzing through the Galway defence to score.
