Finnan agrees one-year deal with Portsmouth

Irish international Steve Finnan has reportedly agreed to join Portsmouth on a one-year contract after passing a medical this week.

The 33-year-old defender was released by Spanish side Espanyol on Monday after an unsuccessful season with the Primera Liga club.

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart has made no secret of his interest in the former Liverpool player.
