The respective goalkeepers were the stars of the show in the top of the table showdown before a crowd of nearly 5,000 at Dalymount.

Bohs’ Brian Murphy had the pick of the first-half stops with a stunning tip-over saved from Rovers' defender Craig Sives after 12 minutes before doing well to stop a low drive from Ollie Cahill.

His namesake at the other end, Barry Murphy, proved his worth with a save from Paddy Madden before the break and then provided a superb reflex stop early in the second half when Conor Powell’s cross deflected off defender Aidan Price.

Bohs might have snatched the win deep in stoppage time when substitute Glen Crowe put Gary Deegan in on goal, but the midfielder shot agonisingly wide.

The result keeps champions Bohs five points clear of second-placed Rovers.
