Late test for Derry’s Stewart
Tommy Stewart is a doubt for Derry City as they travel to Terryland Park to face Galway United tonight.
The former Linfield midfielder will face a fitness test ahead of the game, although Gareth McGlynn returns to Stephen Kenny’s squad.
City boss Kenny said: ‘We had a tough game at the Brandywell against Galway so we know what we are up against and they have good players in their side. As usual though we will go for the win.
‘It’s a big week for us with three games, two of which are away from home so we will need to be at our best. We travel in good spirits and hopefully we will get the result we require.’
Galway manager Ian Foster may have Niall Walsh, Paul Sinnott and Shane Fitzgerald back from injury for this clash.
However, they will be without Alan Murphy (ankle) and Sean Kelly (knee), while John Russell and Garry Breen are suspended.
