Season over for Gardner

Midfielder Ricardo Gardner has been ruled out of Bolton’s final two matches of the Barclays Premier League season after failing to recover from a hamstring injury.

Gardner has not played since coming off injured in the defeat at Portsmouth on April 18, and with Wanderers safe from relegation there is no need to rush him back.

Another week’s training means defender Danny Shittu could make the squad for tomorrow’s match against Hull after a calf injury.
