Five-match ban for racial abuse

Bohemians defender Jason McGuinness has received a five-match ban after being found guilty of

racially abusing Sligo Rovers' Romauld Boco during the teams' April 18 tie at the Showgrounds.

The FAI's Independent Disciplinary Committee imposed the ban in accordance with FAI rules 73 and 89, according to a statement.

The ban will come into effect from May 20, meaning McGuinness will still be eligible to play in Friday night's clash with Derry City at the Brandywell.
