Jason Byrne blew hapless Dundalk away tonight with a four-goal salvo as the Lilywhites finished with nine men.

Glen Crowe's second goal of the season put the champions in front on the half hour.

A poor back pass by Michel Coburn ran straight to Byrne to put strike partner Crowe in to shoot past Chris Bennion.

Dundalk had winger Harpal Singh sent off on 54 minutes for a bad tackle on Killian Brennan, his second booking.

Byrne got his first of the night on 74 minutes when rifling home a penalty after Graham Carey had been fouled by Coburn.

Dundalk lost midfielder Michael Daly through injury on 81 minutes, having used all their substitutes.

Byrne then ran riot with three goals on 83, 90 and 95 minutes to bring his tally for the season to 10, a remarkable goal per game.

The win keeps Bohs three points clear at the top of the table.
