Shittu struggling for Bolton

Bolton defender Danny Shittu is a major doubt for the Premier League clash at Portsmouth tomorrow.

The Nigeria international suffered an ankle injury in a collision with Didier Drogba in the 4-3 defeat to Chelsea last weekend and has been having intensive treatment all week.

Manager Gary Megson has no other fresh injury concerns and is likely to keep faith in the same players who lost at Stamford Bridge, meaning young midfielder Chris Basham, who scored last week, will again have to settle for a place on the bench.
