Bray sweat on fitness of goalkeeper

Bray Wanderers will be missing some key players when they take on Dundalk at the Carlisle Grounds today, kick-off 4pm.

Dave Mulcahy (groin), Paddy Kavanagh (ankle) and Derek Pender (knee) all remain out for Wanderers.

And Bray boss Eddie Gormley has another injury worry with goalkeeper Chris O'Connor struggling with a knee injury, picked up in Sligo on Tuesday – no decision on his availability will be made until just before kick-off.

Otherwise Gormley has a full squad to pick from.

He said: “Tuesday night was probably the best from a Bray team, performance wise, in Sligo for a long time, but we stopped playing for about half an hour, not doing the things that had got us to where we are.

“We will have to step it up on Friday, they are a very good side, we will be hoping that home form will see us through.”

Dundalk will be without Thomas Heary and Michael McGinlay for the trip to Bray.

Heary is suffering from a slight hamstring strain and will not be considered, while McGinlay is still suffering from an ankle injury.

Michael Collins remains unable to play as his registration is still not sorted out.

Dundalk boss Sean Connor said: ”Despite the injuries that we have, everybody in Dundalk are happy that we have a game so quickly after the Shamrock Rovers defeat on Tuesday night.

“We were a bit shocked after the game that we failed to pick up any points from a match that we totally dominated.”

Connor must watch the game from the stands as he is serving a touchline suspension.
