Cork looking for three in a row

Cork City will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they welcome Drogheda United to Turner’s Cross tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

Robbie Martin remains out for Alan Mathews’ Drogheda and the former Cork City boss is likely to name the same starting 11 that impressed against Shamrock Rovers on Friday night.

Denis Behan and Pat Sullivan were both substituted against Bohemians, but both are expected to be fit for Cork, while Robert Mezeckis and Stephen O’Donnell remain sidelined.

City boss Paul Doolin said: “We had a great result in Dalymount Park on Friday night. And I feel it was a deserved result.

“We have been putting in the performances in recent weeks, but we had not been getting the results, and to claim two wins on the spin is very pleasing.”
