McGeady training boost

Republic of Ireland winger Aiden McGeady handed manager Giovanni Trapattoni a boost today when he was able to complete light training ahead of Wednesday’s World Cup qualifying clash with holders Italy.

The Celtic midfielder suffered a knock to his knee during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bulgaria at Croke Park and was immediately listed as a doubt for the game in Bari.
