Drogs set for first Louth derby of season

Drogheda United make the short trip north to Oriel Park to take on Dundalk tonight in the first Louth derby of the season, kick-off 7.45pm.

Drogheda travel to Oriel with a full squad as boss Alan Mathews has no injury concerns.

Sean Connor must plan without midfielder Michael Collins due to issues with his international clearance. The matter has been referred to FIFA.

Simon Kelly is also missing as he is suspended following his sending off last week in Galway.

Dundalk boss Connor said: “The players and I are very much looking forward to the Drogheda match.

“It should be a special atmosphere given that this is the first competitive league match between the two sides since 2001 and the first Premier Division match since 1998.”
