Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has three fitness concerns ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League last-16 second leg against Real Madrid at Anfield.

Striker Fernando Torres (ankle) has been in light training for two days, while full-back Alvaro Arbeloa (hamstring) is also close to being involved. Midfielder Yossi Benayoun, however, is almost certainly out with a hamstring injury.

Benitez will give all three every opportunity to prove their fitness for the tie, with Liverpool 1-0 up from the first leg a fortnight ago in the Bernabeu. Albert Riera is suspended after being booked in the first match.

Provisional squad: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Hyypia, Skrtel, Dossena, Aurelio, Kuyt, Gerrard, Mascherano, Alonso, Lucas, Babel, Torres, Benayoun, Ngog, Cavalieri, Darby, Irwin, Spearing.
