Cole returns for Chelsea

Chelsea tonight make one change from the side that beat Aston Villa in the Premier League last Saturday – Ashley Cole has replaced Paulo Ferreira at left-back.

There was is no place in the squad for Portugal midfielder Deco who is sidelined with a hamstring tear and defender Ricardo Carvalho still has not recovered sufficiently from his own hamstring problems.

Chelsea’s Champions League opponents Juventus made three changes from the side that overcame Palermo last weekend, captain Alessandro Del Piero replaces David Trezeguet, while Amauri and Olof Mellberg are recalled in place of Vincenzo Iaquinta and Zdenek Grygera.
