Kompany doubt for City

Manchester City midfielder Vincent Kompany is doubtful for the UEFA Cup match against FC Copenhagen tomorrow because of a toe injury.

Manager Mark Hughes is hoping the problem will settle down as he is already without Nigel de Jong as he was not registered for the competition.

Shaun Wright Phillips is available again, however, as his domestic ban does not apply to the European tie with the scores locked at 2-2 following the first leg in Denmark.

He has a slight ankle injury but is expected to recover in time for the round-of-32 match.
