Nicolas Anelka hit the post for Chelsea but the Blues failed to impose their class on Watford in their FA Cup clash at Vicarage Road.

Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach denied Didier Drogba on numerous occasions before Anelka’s shot hit the upright 10 minutes before the interval.

Watford’s best chance was a far post header by Grzegorz Rasiak that Petr Cech kept out at the second attempt.
