Republic of Ireland skipper Robbie Keane is determined to bring a smile to the faces of the nation after rediscovering his own.

The 28-year-old cut a forlorn figure during the latter days of his ill-fated spell at Liverpool, but a weight was lifted from his shoulders with his deadline-day return to Tottenham.
