Strachan: Row was just 'shouting and screaming'

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has played down an alleged training ground spat between goalkeeper Artur Boruc and Aiden McGeady.

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has played down an alleged training ground spat between goalkeeper Artur Boruc and Aiden McGeady.

The pair are reported to have clashed during training on Thursday.

McGeady was suspended for two weeks for a breach of club discipline in December after speaking out against Strachan during a dressing-room row.

But Strachan has revealed no-one will be punished following the incident.

“There was nothing untoward which we’ve not seen before on a football field or a training field,” Strachan said.

“Artur trained on Friday and he trained well. We’ve all shouted and screamed on a training field, and that will not change.

“It’s only shouting and screaming and all the boys were absolutely fantastic on Friday morning.

“There won’t be any action taken against anyone, we’re all fine. Everyone was in good spirits on Friday.”
