Banned duo back for Derby

Paul Connolly and Jordan Stewart return from suspension as Derby take a 1-0 lead into the second leg of their Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester United tomorrow.

The pair will both feature for new boss Nigel Clough for the first time after missing his bow in Saturday’s Championship defeat by QPR.

On-loan forward Luke Varney is cup-tied and misses out having played for Charlton earlier in the competition. Nathan Ellington has pulled out after suffering a groin problem in training while Claude Davis (hamstring) is fit and could win a place among the seven substitutes.

Provisional squad: Carroll, Albrechtsen, Todd, Nyatanga, Camara, Barnes, Barazite, Green, Addison, Commons, Hulse, Davies, Savage, Teale, Davis, Sterjovski, Bywater.
