City make Kaka bid

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has criticised the transfer window – just as the Blues could be on the verge of landing Brazilian superstar Kaka.

A City delegation led by chief executive Garry Cook flew to Italy yesterday to put a £100m (€110m) proposal to Serie A giants AC Milan.
