McDonnell parts company with St Pats

Manager Johnny McDonnell has left St Patrick's Athletic, it was confirmed this afternoon.

A statement on the club's website said the decision had been taken following discussions with CEO Richard Sadlier.

A former player the club, McDonnell has been in charge at Richmond Park since 2004 and last season led the side to its best ever European finish.

Pats qualified for the first round proper of the UEFA Cup after beating JFK Olimps and IF Elfsborg.
