Clement blow for Baggies

West Brom defender Neil Clement has been ruled out for the rest of the season as he continues to battle a long-term knee injury.

Clement, 30, underwent further major surgery in September having suffered the injury in a pre-season friendly against Real Mallorca.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray told the club’s website, wba.co.uk: “I think Clem’s recovery is on schedule.

“We’re not anticipating seeing him this season. The specialist who saw him last week is positive.

“Hopefully his rehabilitation will run smoothly and he’ll be doing pre-season training with everyone else.”
