Osman and Yobo out for Toffees

Everton manager David Moyes’ hopes of his side continuing their excellent away form today suffered a double blow with both Joseph Yobo and Leon Osman ruled out against Middlesbrough through injury.

Moyes drafted in Leighton Baines and Daniel Gosling as he looked for a seventh away win of the season, against a Boro side still smarting from their dismal 3-0 reversal at Fulham.

Gary O’Neil returned from injury for the home side for the first time in four games, while Andrew Taylor and Mido also came back. Defender David Wheater had to settle for a place on the bench.
