England defender Glen Johnson has been forced to put attempts to make a comeback in Portsmouth’s St Stephen's Day clash with West Ham on hold after breaking down in training.

Johnson trained on Monday after missing Portsmouth’s last three games with ankle injury but could not get through the session.

Midfielder John Utaka is fit after a hamstring problem while defender Younes Kaboul is also in contention following an ankle injury.

Linvoy Primus has returned to Fratton Park after a loan spell at Charlton but will not be considered for selection.
