Striker Roman Bednar and midfielder Kim Do-Heon came into the starting line-up in place of winger Chris Brunt and play-maker Borja Valero, who was suffering with illness.

City boss Mark Hughes also made two alterations from the line-up beaten at home by Everton last weekend, after fielding a shadow side in the UEFA Cup time away to Racing Santander.

Robinho (ankle) and the dropped Elano made way for Darius Vassell and Gelson Fernandes.

West Brom: Carson, Zuiverloon, Meite, Olsson, Robinson, Morrison, Koren, Greening, Kim, Bednar, Moore.

Subs: Kiely, Hoefkens, Barnett, Brunt, Beattie, Dorrans, Filipe Teixeira.
