Richardson back for Sunderland
Caretaker Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia will be boosted by the return of Kieran Richardson for tomorrow’s Barclays Premier League clash with West Brom.
The 24-year-old midfielder missed last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at former club Manchester United through suspension after reaching five bookings for the season, and his place was taken by veteran Dwight Yorke.
However, goalkeeper Craig Gordon (ankle) and full-back George McCartney (foot) are still fighting for fitness and are expected to miss out once again.
Provisional squad: Fulop, Colgan, Bardsley, Chimbonda, Ferdinand, Nosworthy, Collins, Malbranque, Whitehead, Richardson, Tainio, Leadbitter, Edwards, Miller, Yorke, Reid, Henderson, Colback, Diouf, Cisse, Jones, Murphy, Healy.
