Mido boosts Boro

Striker Mido is back in contention for Middlesbrough’s Premier League derby against Newcastle at the Riverside Stadium tomorrow.

The Egypt international, who has been out for three matches with a groin injury, is the only addition to the squad following last week’s loss to Bolton.

Mido, the club’s top scorer with five goals in all competitions, will compete for a place with misfiring recording signing Afonso Alves.

Robert Huth (ankle) is back in training but not yet match-fit and Chris Riggott (hamstring) remains on the sidelines.
