Poland end Trap's undefeated record
Rep Ireland 2 Poland 3
Poland handed Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni he first taste of defeat after a dramatic finish at Croke Park tonight.
The visitors looked to be cruising to victory after skipper Mariusz Lewandowski and substitute Roger Guerreiro had given them a 2-0 lead two minutes into the second half.
But Ireland belatedly launched a fightback with substitutes Stephen Hunt from the penalty spot and Keith Andrews struck either side of Robert Lewandowski’s effort inside a remarkable final two minutes.
