Shay Given will captain Ireland against Poland tomorrow night in the absence of the injured Robbie Keane.

The 32-year-old goalkeeper, who has also skippered his club Newcastle this season, will lead out the team at Croke Park as they defend a six-match unbeaten start to Giovanni Trapattoni’s reign.
