Gareth Bale replaced Benoit Assou-Ekotto but Spurs made six changes from the side which beat Liverpool in the Carling Cup in midweek.

Goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, stretchered off against Liverpool, was fit enough to resume his duties.

Fulham also made one change from the side that beat Newcastle with Clint Dempsey preferred to Zoltan Gera, who was relegated to the bench.
