Kranjcar set for Pompey return

Niko Kranjcar is in line to make his first start for Portsmouth since the opening day of the Barclays Premier League season when manager Tony Adams takes his team to Sunderland.

Croatian midfield star Kranjcar, 24, damaged ankle ligaments on the opening day defeat by Chelsea. Since then Kranjcar has made three substitute appearances and scored last week in the home defeat by Wigan.

David Nugent, another long-term absentee, is also available again after recovering from a groin injury which required surgery.
