Leeds have been handed a home clash against fellow Coca-Cola League One outfit Northampton following the draw for the first round of the FA Cup.

Gary McAllister’s side, who won the competition in 1972, have made an impressive start to their league campaign to currently sit in second place in the table and will face the Cobblers at Elland Road on the weekend of November 8-9.

Havant & Waterlooville – who twice led against Liverpool at Anfield in last season’s competition – will fancy their chances of another cup run after they were given a home tie against Brentford.

Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Sutton United will hope to repeat their giant-killing feats of previous years when they host Notts County.

AFC Wimbledon were rewarded for their 1-0 win over Maidstone with a home tie against Wycombe having made the first round proper for the first time since they were founded in 2002.

MK Dons, now managed by Robert Di Matteo who scored the fastest FA Cup final goal at Wembley for Chelsea in 1997, have been drawn against Bradford who won the competition in 1911.

Eastern Counties League Premier Division side Leiston, who are the lowest ranked team left in the competition, will take on Fleetwood Town provided they can overcome Lewes in the replay of their fourth round qualifying tie.

League One leaders Scunthorpe, the highest ranked team, have a tie against a team from the same division and will travel to the Bescot Stadium after they drew Walsall.

Elsewhere, Shrewsbury face a difficult trip to Blue Square North side Blyth Spartans, Leicester will welcome either Stevenage Borough or Horsham to the Walkers Stadium and Cheltenham host Oldham.

Millwall, who were beaten finalists in 2004, travel to the Deva Stadium to play Chester, former winners Huddersfield have been paired with Port Vale and Swindon will face a tricky trip against either Durham City or Histon.
