Defensive duo back for United

Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra will return for Manchester United at Everton tomorrow, with Michael Carrick pencilled in for a comeback against West Ham on Wednesday.

Ferdinand (groin) and Evra (hamstring) both missed Tuesday’s Champions League win over Celtic, while Carrick has been restricted to just 70 minutes’ Barclays Premier League action all season with an ankle injury.

Dimitar Berbatov (hip) and Cristiano Ronaldo (knee) have recovered from minor knocks and will play at Goodison Park, while Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves (both knee) are out.
