Sligo gave their hopes of European qualification a lift as they put a big dent in Finn Harps' survival hopes.

Both sides had chances in a lively opening, but it was Sligo who took the lead on 19 minutes.

Sean Doherty picked out Benin international Romu Boco who shot past James Gallagher.

Sligo doubled their lead in bizarre fashion on 37 minutes when Gallagher was adjudged to have caught Doherty's cross over the goal-line with an assistant referee flagging for the goal.
