O'Neill to ring changes for QPR clash

Martin O’Neill may make changes for tomorrow’s Carling Cup match against QPR at Villa Park.

The Villa manager had to contend with the smallest squad in the Premier League last season and had little scope for changing his squad.

However, he was able to recall John Carew, Ashley Young and Curtis Davies for Sunday’s win at West Brom after the trio were not risked for Thursday’s UEFA Cup match with Litex Lovech in Bulgaria because of minor knocks – and he may again make changes for the visit of Iain Dowie’s side.
