Arteta a doubt for Everton

Mikel Arteta is Everton’s only major doubt for the Carling Cup trip to Blackburn tomorrow night.

The Spanish winger has struggled with a virus for the last 48 hours and was repeatedly sick following Everton’s 2-2 draw at Hull on Sunday.

David Moyes will not select his starting XI until tomorrow afternoon and although Tony Hibbert has resumed training following a cruciate knee ligament injury, he will still be absent along with Steven Pienaar (ankle) and Andy van der Meyde (hamstring).
