Galway steer past Bray in FAI Cup semis
Bray Wanderers 0 Galway United 2
Goals in each half from Jonathan Keane and Jay O'Shea gave Galway United a fully deserved victory over Bray Wanderers in tonight's one-sided FAI Ford Cup quarter-final replay at the Carlisle Grounds.
O'Shea, who missed the first game between the sides at Terryland Park last Friday because of suspension, jinked past Bray defender Kevin Doherty on 37 minutes to fire in a shot which rebounded off the crossbar with Alan Gough beaten.
But young winger Jonathan Keane was quickest to react when firing home the rebound from eight yards into the roof of the net - his first goal for the club.
Galway stretched their lead on 53 minutes after a quick counter-attack down the left.
John Russell found Jesper Jorgensen sprinting down the left.
His low cross was collected by O'Shea who showed great calmness when squeezing the ball past the diving Gough into the corner of the net from the edge of the box.
