A marvellous fingertip save from Jussi Jaaskelainen ensured Bolton went into the break on level terms against West Brom.

In a tight half of few chances, Jaaskelainen spectacularly kept out James Morrison’s curling shot from 25 yards out at the expense of a corner.

Many of Bolton’s attempts to utilise their trademark physical attributes were thwarted by the whistle of the referee, with Kevin Davies and Kevin Nolan in particular becoming increasingly frustrated as the half wore on.
